

A sweet romance (which didn’t really feel forbidden to me) about 2 people who fell in love with the right people, at the wrong time. It's a book about loss and pain… about coping and forgiveness… and of course, LOVE.

However, Daniel was an amazing character who managed to get into my heart. The deaths of family members, drug addiction, alcoholism, bullying, coming out problems… Why the hell did all this happen? 😱😱😱 There were too many family tragedies (on both sides) and I did not understand in what way they served the story – but most importantly, some of these issues were not resolved at the end of the book at all… It bothered me that Daniel and Ashley's "forbidden" relationship was not the focus of the book, because most of the drama was related to their families… I enjoyed this book, but two things disappointed me: all the tragedies in the story… and the end, that was too quick (which happens in most of Brittainy's books).
